Well, we’re back to crawling.
S heard back from branch about the JOBA positions. There are none at the moment. This doesn’t really surprise me any, since he was told they probably wouldn’t know anything until October, anyway. But, there is also a new point of contact, which kind of freaks me out a little bit; the last one was more familiar with how much he wanted to do this. The fact that he also has a whole new command team at the battalion and brigade levels just makes me feel like he is starting over again from square one.
Which is only exasperated by the fact that they also made him push back his CLC3 request dates. So, no longer is he requesting to report in September (apparently, that is too “soon”). Now, the earliest report date is October 15 (2 weeks before my due date) for a November start date, then one in January and one in February.
I’m feeling a defeatist attitude creeping on.
